Computer vision is changing the way we see the world and each other. We now exist in a dual perceptual state of machinic and human observation where identities are atomized throughout the electromagnetic spectrum and reconstructed again by black boxed algorithms. This lecture will discuss the implications of multispectral, multi-modal identities and propose a new framework for understanding images through the axis of optical sensing technologies.

Adam Harvey is an artist and researcher based in Berlin and New York exploring societal impacts of data analysis technologies and Artificial Intelligence with a focus on computer vision and counter-surveillance.

The talk will be in english.
