On 06.08.2022 it's that time again: 12 Karlsruhe cultural institutions open their doors for a very special evening! Here literature meets media art, vintage cars meet Vivarium residents and regional history meets international art. We are looking forward to seeing you!

The advance sale starts on 09 July 2022.

Every year, KAMUNA is dedicated to a specific motto, and for all the diversity and individuality of the participating houses, the motto provides the "common thread" in the colorful program.

"Stories behind things" is this year's motto: Stories are one of the most powerful forms of communication; they can teach, they can enlighten, and they can inspire. Their impact is not limited to conversations: they transcend the boundaries of countries and generations. Whether in a book, in pictures, in movies, on the radio, or online, stories are ubiquitous. They take us on a journey, entertain us, surprise us and enchant us. Everyone enjoys a good story. Not only we humans, but also every object that is in our environment has its very own story - the most prominent ones with probably the most exciting stories are with us, in museums. What did they experience on their way to the exhibition, what makes them so special and what can we learn through them? We would like to share all these stories behind the things with you.
