Lese-Workshop: Der Klang der Kultur - Diaspora und schwarze Technopoetik von Louis Chude-Sokei 07.05.22, 13-16 pm, room 118
We will read together excerpts from Louis Chude-Sokei's The Sound of Culture - Diaspora and Black Technopoetics. In this book, Chude-Sokei explores the parallel and intertwined histories of the concepts of "race" and "technology" in a world shaped by slavery, colonialism, and industrialization. In doing so, he analyzed American, British, and Caribbean literature beginning in the late 19th century and continuing to the present. The focus of this workshop is Chude-Sokei's chapter on science fiction and cyberpunk.
