Get out the picnic blanket - the open air season is open!
Once again, the team from Kino im Blauen Salon comes out on top and receives the award for the first open air cinema of the year. The theme this time: science fiction: utopia, dystopia, comedy.
Desirable improbabilities, undesirable probabilities: film history is full of examples of dreamlike and terrible visions of the human future on earth and of the entire universe. Science fiction has been one of the most popular genres from the beginning of film history. Why? It combines entertainment with aesthetic experimentation and sophisticated philosophical and psychological themes. Sometimes the future was the backdrop for a metaphorical representation of the present with all its political, social and cultural problems. Sometimes it has been a projection screen for our dreams, hopes and wishes, but also for fears, worries and criticism of society. But best convince yourselves!
