Last summer we started the new series of HfG WRITING WORKSHOPS, in which we invite authors from the fields of literature, journalism, art, theater and film to an evening lecture and short workshop. This winter semester we will continue the series with three German-speaking authors from the fields of art journalism and theater.
On November 3, 2023, there will be a workshop for HfG students.
On November 2, 2023, there will be an evening lecture by Ewe Benbenek.
Ewe Benbenek studied cultural and political sciences at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and at University College London, as well as literary studies at the University of Erfurt, and was a research assistant at the Chair of Modern German Literature/Theatre Research at the University of Hamburg from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, she was nominated for the Retzhofer Dramapreis. Her play text Tragödienbastard was funded by uniT and Schauspielhaus Wien as part of the Arbeitsatelier and premiered at Schauspielhause Wien on October 30. In 2021 she won the Mühlheimer Dramatikpreis for Tragödienbastard and in the same year she was voted young playwright of the year in the Theater heute critics' poll.
