Opening of the summer semester on April 17, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
The Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe can open the summer semester 2023 with good news: In addition to a number of new staff members, new appointments are to be celebrated for the first time in a long time. With the professors Line-Gry Hørup, Tereza Rullerova, Isabel Seiffert, Wieki Somers, Diana McCarty & Filipa César, and Anne Duk Hee Jordan, the Media Art, Communication Design, and Product Design programs can welcome internationally renowned experts. As a result, the HfG is once again picking up the long-awaited pace. Further appointments will follow in the coming semesters and enrich the artistic and cultural life of the city of Karlsruhe as well. The HfG is looking forward to further developments.
As usual, the opening evening will also be used for the presentation of diploma certificates. In addition to some greetings, the evening will also feature contributions by the collective "Gruppe CIS", which works at the interface of performance, theater and film. The group is particularly concerned with social bodies in the field of tension of media settings and social scenarios. Following the opening, the Berlin DJ Orson, an alumnus of the HfG, will perform.
