Online lecture series "Critical Ecologies": Annette Baumast 15.November, 5:30-7 pm

Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design was first established as a progressive school on April 15, 1992. It was founded by Heinrich Klotz between the years 1989 and 1992, together with the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. The combination of teaching, research, and exhibition institutions addresses the given artistic and pedagogic task of relating traditional arts to media technology and electronic production processes.

The Critical Ecologies lecture series on sustainable thinking and acting in the performative arts was created in collaboration with Nadia Fistarol / Szenischer Raum at the ZHdK in Zurich and will continue online in WS 23-24.

Annett Baumast has been involved with "environmental management in the theater" since the 1990s. She founded baumast. kultur & nachhaltigkeit with the aim of raising awareness of sustainability in the cultural sector. In 2022, her book "Betriebliches Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement" was published by Ulmerverlag.
