Fiona McGovern to be Visiting Professor of Curatorial Studies

The assistant professor for curatorial practice and art education works at the Institute for Visual Arts and Art Studies at the University of Hildesheim and as a freelance author and art historian.

Her thematic focus includes (artistic) exhibition history and theory, ethics of curating, interdisciplinary approaches in the arts since the 1960s, art historical historiography, and feminist and queer theory.

So far, she has taught at the Freie Universität Berlin, the UdK Berlin, the Academy of Arts Vienna, the University of Potsdam, the Merzakademie Stuttgart and in the postgraduate program "Curating in the Scenic Arts".
