"On Relation and Collaboration: Contextualising the Notions of ‘nongkrong’ and ‘lumbung’ in Documenta Fifteen"
The lecture is part of Sami Khatib’s course "Critical Theory from the Global South” and the Rundgang program. The event is open to all members of HfG.
Maria Chiara Miccoli (born 1986) is an Italian art historian specializing in the field of modern and contemporary art history and emergent curator currently based in Amsterdam. Her scholarly pursuits centre on interdisciplinary and transcultural artistic practices that critically engage with oppressive power structures and explore their reception within transnational frameworks. Notably, her research concentrates on Italian Feminist Art during the tumultuous Years of Lead period, as well as collaborative art practices originating from Indonesia that actively promote social equality and community betterment.
