The Manhattan Bar is an empty shop space on Amalienstraße 53, left to a group of students at HfG Karlsruhe for temporary use. The students organized various events on their own or in collaboration with other interested parties.

The Manhattan Bar is all of the below:

  • a bar
  • a bookshop
  • a television studio
  • a concert, cinema and performance space
  • a planetarium
  • a kiosk
    and much more.

Everything that took place at the Manhattan Bar was recorded in video documentation.

The Manhattan Bar was run by Moritz Appich, Julius Bläser, Miki Feller, Hanna Franke, Bruno Jacoby, Calvin Kudufia, Mona Mayer, Josefine Scheu, Juliane Schmitt and Leia Walz.
