Inspired by the phenomenon of soft materials deforming after being pressed, this project explored tension and deform, and blends them with function of product. With lamp as medium, it discussed the possibilities of inflated product in terms of material, structure and form.
The lamps are made of recyclable TPU. The inflated body of the lamp is clamped by aluminum rings to form articulations. The structure stretched by thin wires can be held by friction at any position, so the height and direction of the lamp can be adjusted freely just by pulling the lamp manually without using any conventional mechanical structure. When the main body is folded after deflating, it can easily be carried around or store away.
