Born out of the almost “divine” union of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan—also known as the “Holy Trinity” of Y2K pop culture—on the night of the infamous “Bimbo Summit,” this work is the visual and critical realization of the fascination with #Y2K It girls and pop culture in general.

The project combines religious and highly commercial aesthetics and deliberately navigates the tension between iconization, celebrity culture, and consumerism. In doing so, it questions the representation of women in the mass media, the consumption of visual and celebrity image culture, and the emergence of new belief systems within pop cultural dynamics.
