The Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) is looking for a committed member of staff (m/f/d) to join the University Communications department on a full-time (100%) basis as soon as possible. Remuneration will be in accordance with TV-L up to half of pay group E 13, depending on personal requirements. The position is limited to one year. An extension is possible.
Your tasks include:
Collaboration in external and internal communication
Support in the area of student marketing
Support in the planning/organization of central university events (e.g. student information day, tour, open day, semester openings, Karlsruhe Museum Night (Kamuna) etc.) as well as press conferences and tours
Support with the creation and publication of press releases and current news, the event flyer and other key print products
Production support for print orders from the university
Content maintenance of the website and support with projects as part of the central web presence
Expansion of the press distribution list
Supervision of social media channels and collaboration on the conception of new formats for this area
Support in the development/implementation/publication of print and online advertisements as well as in the development and support of merchandise articles
Other cross-sectional tasks in the area of public relations

Employment requirements:
Relevant studies with a focus on communication, marketing, humanities or social sciences
Experience in the implementation of social media activities and in the use of social media planning and publishing tools such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
Very good knowledge of German and English
Confident handling of common MS Office programs / Adobe Photoshop, experience in working with a CMS system, basic knowledge of HTML and inDesign desirable
Reliability, ability to work under pressure, organizational skills, team spirit and commitment
Affinity for art and design
Initial experience in the editorial field (work samples) is an advantage
