100 Best Posters Exhibition Vernissage: October 11, 2019, 6pm, Exhibition: October 12–20, 2019, Atrium
The exhibition of the 100 Best Posters D, A, CH will be shown for the first time in Karlsruhe at the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe. The competition launched in the GDR in the mid-sixties is considered the most important poster competition in the German-speaking world.
Students and professors of the HfG Karlsruhe have been able to announce numerous winning posters in recent years. In the current competition, eight of the winning posters were designed by active members and students of the Communication Design department at the HfG Karlsruhe (see photo series).
The traveling exhibition was opened in June at the Kulturforum Potsdamer Platz of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and then opens in Essen (Museum Folkwang), La Chaux-de-Fonds (Quartier General), St. Gallen (School of Design), Lucerne (Weltformat Graphic Design Festival), Lausanne (écal), Vienna (MAK), Zurich (Zurich University of the Arts) and Seoul.
The opening of the exhibition at the HfG Karlsruhe will be on October 11, 2019. The exhibitions then will be open to the public until October 20, 2019. In addition there will be a supporting program with workshops, talks and a party on the weekend of 12./13. October. Further information will be communicated shortly.
