The production "Wer hat eigentlich die Liebe erfunden" with the participation of the Saarländischer Rundfunk and Arte won a Bavarian Film Award. HfG Alumna Kerstin Polte received the award in the category "Best Young Director" on January 25 in Munich.

The jury praised Poltes work as an imaginative comedy with unusual pictures and a strong ensemble. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros. The film "Wer hat eigentlich die Liebe erfunden" is about a woman named Charlotte, played by Corinna Harfouch, who after long years of marriage decides to enjoy her life again to the fullest. She leaves her husband at a highway stop just to drive to the sea with her lively granddaughter.
