Exhibition im fluss by Heidi Herzig & Ben Öztat

Since 2014, under the guise of pseudonyms, they have been brushing aside local and situational gaps and spaces for joint interventional interventions. These can be, for example, installative, spatial or medial, such as radio or food preparation, involving social events.
For the exhibition in the Badischer Kunstverein, HfG graduate Heidi Herzig and Ben Öztat will break up their individual positions in order to create openings for synergies that are also comfortable in a museum context. Thus, the narrative meets the formal, the stationary meets the moving, the dark the radiant and the visible the invisible. And then, at the point of their meeting: a flicker.

Heidi Herzig (* 1983) lives and works in Karlsruhe. She studied German and Applied Cultural Studies at the University of Karlsruhe and Media Art and Scenography at the HfG Karlsruhe. In 2017, Herzig received the Badische Beamtenbank award for her joint project "On the rail tracks on one element".

Ben Öztat (* 1981) lives and works in Karlsruhe. 2001 - 2006 he studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe.
