On 14 and 15 June 2019, the International Film Festival Doclisboa will visit the HfG Karlsruhe - Portugal's only film festival dedicated to documentary film.

Cíntia Gil and Miguel Ribeiro, direction and programme coordinator of Doclisboa, will present selected films at the Kinemathek Karlsruhe on Friday, June 14, 2019. You can see them at 5pm, 7pm and 9:15pm. In addition, there will be a workshop at the HfG Karlsruhe on 15 June 2019. From 10am, Cíntia Gil and Miguel Ribeiro will hold a master class to the film selection presented the day before. The event is especially recommended to all students of Film and Moving Image, but all interested students are welcome. In the afternoon Cíntia Gil and Miguel Ribeiro will comment on student film projects.

Miguel Ribeiro
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Miguel Ribeiro studied Science of Communication, in the New University of Lisbon. Since 2012, he is programmer and Programme Coordinator of Doclisboa and currently part of the executive board of Apordoc - The Portuguese Documentary Association. Through several collaborations, he has developed a series of curatorial programmes and is a regular presence in panels, talks and festival juries. In 2016, he founded the production company Filmes do Asfalto.

Cíntia Gil
Graduated in Philosophy (University of Porto) and studied Cinema (ESTC). Researcher at the «Aesthetics, Politics and Arts» Research Group of the Philosophy (IFP). Was member of Vila do Conde Film Festival selection committee. Director of Doclisboa, both for artistic and executive direction.
