Biography

DIANA MCCARTY is an artist, cineaste and feminist media activist. Her interdisciplinary projects focus on art, gender and the politics of media. She is the founding editor of the independent artist radio station reboot.fm 88,4 Mhz Berlin and part of the Red Forest constellation. The resulting collective works include experimental performances, audio and radio, films, videos, seminars, screenings, publications and long-term partnerships. In 2022, she co-organized Red Forest Radiograms - Nomadic Cosmologies and Fugitive Power, the German Pavilion at the Milan Triennale. McCarty has received research grants from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), BAK, basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht, and the Kone Foundation, Finland. Her current research revolves around "Energy-Matters in the context of war. Neo-extractivism, fossil fascism and the post-national question".
