Isabel Seiffert (*1986) is one half of the Zurich and Eindhoven-based design studio Offshore, which she co-founded with Christoph Miler in 2016. Their collaboration focuses on editorial design, typography, image design and research-oriented visual narratives. In addition to commissioned work, collaborations and self-initiated research projects, the duo has also been involved in design education at various art academies in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany for several years.
The studio not only co-founded and co-published the multi-award-winning publication series Migrant Journal, but was also responsible for the art direction and design of this project. Together with Justinien Tribillon, the duo received the Research and Production Fellowship in 2019, which was awarded by Les Rencontres d'Arles for the realization of their exhibition Visible upon breakdown (cancelled due to the pandemic). In 2022 Offshore received the Swiss Design Award in Graphic Design. In 2020/21, they deepened their long-term project Managing the Wild as part of a visual research fellowship at the Jan van Eyck Academie and in 2022 the duo continued this visual research as part of a residency at the artist residence La Becque in Vevey.
