Ants on an open field - Installation with program on Lützerath, Karlsruhe and the in-between.
by Franka Breunig in collaboration with the Community Toolkit Workshop

Panel on the topic of housing.

Panel guests:

  • Daniel Fluhrer: Building Mayor & Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volkswohnung & Fächer GmbH, Karlsruhe.
  • Oliver Elser: Curator at the German Architecture Museum (DAM) Ostend, Frankfurt.
  • Erle Blume: Resident of the Wagenburg, Karlsruhe
  • Castroya Nara: Person from the press team of the initiative "LützerathLebt".

With the installation Ants on an open field on the forecourt of the HfG we want to create an exchange platform to discuss about Lützerath, activism and the socio-political status-quo of the climate crisis. In this context, we are organizing a panel on the topic of housing on 22.07.23 - during the tour of the HfG - from 2pm to about 3:30pm. Together with representatives of politics, curators and activists we would like to talk about what forms activist, sustainable and/or solidarity housing can take, how this can be part of solutions for many intertwined crises of the present and why we should talk about it at all.
