"Boxes - Carton as Protagonist in Network Capitalism" treats the material of the cardboard box, which is perceived as trivial and crude. Its role as an inconspicuous, utilitarian supporting actor is inverted and the entertaining mass product becomes a fetish of network capitalism. Numerous actors of the network tug at the box via red thread connections through stepper motors. It moves in its frame, an industrial heavy-duty shelf, yields and strains, unfolds, closes and opens - sometimes seemingly purposefully - sometimes arbitrarily. Unpredictable moments determine the choreography. The cardboard gets entangled, shows a will of its own.
