“Studio Kralle” is a spatial installation in the form of a fictional film set. It is an attempt to recreate elements of a nail salon by deconstructing the traditional stage space using theater walls.

The installation features research materials and the artists’ own works on nail salons in Karlsruhe and other countries. In their research, the students addressed not only design issues but also service relationships and structural dependencies in the low-wage sector.

During the tour, the installation was brought to life through performances as well as film and photographic contributions. Visitors were invited to reflect on the relationship between service and community spaces, as well as between the stage space and the film set.
