As part of the GEDOK Karlsruhe's young talent promotion program, HfG student Amelie Albertine Enders and HfG alumna Isabel Motz will be presenting their current works at the GEDOK Künstlerinnenforum from 18 to 27 July 2025. Both artists will be exploring the (in)visibility of spaces. The exhibition is being created under the project management of Sabine Schäfer (GEDOK) and Prof. Susanne Kriemann (HfG Karlsruhe).

Isabel Motz (*1997) works as a graphic designer and researcher in Stuttgart. During her studies at the HfG Karlsruhe, she developed her practice, in which she combines graphic design and media art with the history of specific places. She is currently a scholarship holder of the State Graduate Funding Program of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts, supervised by Prof. Susanne Kriemann. Under the title burning conscience, she is researching how processes of (de)militarization can be seen in landscapes and how these attributions change the perception of our environment. Through documentation in the form of objects, videos and text fragments, military infrastructures, relics of nuclear threats and social reactions to them become visible.

Amelie Albertine Enders (*1999) studies exhibition design and scenography, dramaturgy and curatorial practice as well as media art at the HfG Karlsruhe. Her creative practice is characterized by research-based conceptual works and holistic works in space. A central aspect of her work is the exploration of spatial gaps - making the overlooked visible. By observing, documenting and archiving, she creates multimedia libraries. Her installation ZWISCHEN-RÆUME_N (2023/24) deals with the investigation and atmospheric representation of a “non-place” in the urban space of Karlsruhe. By locating it in the exhibition space, it is recontextualized and supplemented. This work was awarded the ZKM Sponsorship Prize in 2024.
