OPEN DRAFTS | HfG Karlsruhe

Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design was first established as a progressive school on April 15, 1992. It was founded by Heinrich Klotz between the years 1989 and 1992, together with the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. The combination of teaching, research, and exhibition institutions addresses the given artistic and pedagogic task of relating traditional arts to media technology and electronic production processes.

Open Drafts is a research colloquium focusing on open-ended questions. We invite researchers and practitioners across the HfG and the ZKM to present their ongoing research projects.

What are you curious about right now? What are some the ideas that you are toying with? What presentation formats are you trying out? What dead-ends are you looking for a way out of?

We convene monthly at the HfG to offer a space to exchange, workshop and bounce ideas across disciplinary borders and career stages.
