Honeycombs, built by bees on different supporting structures, serve as diffusers for lamps. These create a secret and cozy atmosphere through the warm, soft light combined with the smell of honey. The combination of man-made and natural materials creates a dialogue on the contrast between industrial and organic forms. The latter transcend human creative power and only emerge when control over form is given to nature. The cables leading to the changeable LED bulbs are sheathed in beeswax. The wax honeycombs were sprayed with pine resin dissolved in alcohol after construction to make them less susceptible to impact.
