The Incorporated Society for the Development of Art and Media, founded in Karlsruhe in 1988, is an association of citizens and public personalities. In Karlsruhe, it supports the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and the ZKM | Center for Art and Media with ideas and material resources.
By its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2013, 140 projects from the two institutes had profited from 500,000 € worth of funding. Society members enjoyed numerous excursions, as well as visits and presentations at the ZKM and the HfG.
The ZKM and the university, by virtue of their unique concept, are recognized throughout the world. Our focused commitment assists these two institutions in their reflection and documentation of the complex present-day of consumer and media society.
Natural persons and legal entities can become members of the Society. The annual subscription for natural persons is a minimum of 40 €. For legal entities, the minimum annual subscription is 400 €. The Society is a recognized non-profit organization. Benefits and offers for members include:
