For the ARD Hörspieltage, the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe presents Inside Sonic, current pieces by students of the HfG and the Hochschule für Musik as well as invited artists.

On both days we will be playing a 90-minute program of 10 shorter pieces from 14:30 and 16:30.

A special contribution is the latest piece by the English composer Trevor Wishart “The Garden of Earthly Delights ”, both at 7 pm.

The program is a cross-section of artistic works created in the field of media art sound and shows the creative examination of sound in the field of tension between technology and artistic expression. The focus is on music-related and artistic practices as well as sound art issues relating to space, electronics and AI.

In the past semesters, various aesthetic concepts for immersion and multi-channel sound were developed and considerations on the perception of spatial sound were explored. The approaches developed make it possible to spatialize the pieces with ambisonic processes or to design them innovatively using unconventional techniques such as the diffusion approach.
