"Literatur offensiv!" is once again the motto of the city's most important literary forum, which presents literature from Karlsruhe and the region directly and at extraordinary reading venues. Numerous Karlsruhe institutions and initiatives are participating in the Literaturtage Karlsruhe 2024 under the auspices of the Literarische Gesellschaft
On 20.10.2024, KLAK presents the lift reading as part of the Literature Days program at the HfG.

KLAK is the Karlsruhe Literature Automata Collective of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. KLAK operates the book vending machine of the same name in the Center for Art and Media and LIFT is the university's freight elevator, which will be repurposed for the Literature Days.
Ten listeners plus a liftboy or liftgirl travel to each of the building's three floors. When the doors of the elevator open, the view of an author reading his or her texts becomes clear. The audience can navigate through different text levels at the touch of a button.

At the end of a passage, the elevator attendant asks the elevator passengers to get off and a new group can check in for the reading journey. There are four rounds, starting on the hour and half hour. All the texts presented were written by the KLAK literary university group and are available from KLAK, the book vending machine. The new booklet is entitled ECKE.
