Some experiences of discrimination appear invisible in the university context or are not taken seriously enough.
As the equal opportunities team at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, we want to make this issue visible and encourage those affected to come to us with their concerns. It goes without saying that they will be treated confidentially at first and referred on as needed in constant consultation.
We stand for diversity and fair coexistence by advocating for students, academics and employees who feel disadvantaged in everyday academic life due to their ethnic origin, appearance, sexual orientation, cultural, religious or other reasons.
We are also committed to equality in all areas of the HfG, support recruitment procedures and help with specific challenges such as achieving a better balance between parenthood, studies and work.
