To help students and prospective students with a disability or chronic illness successfully navigate their studies, the HfG Karlsruhe offers counseling services that can be accessed at any stage of their studies—and even before they begin their studies.
The coordinators support and advise students, prospective students, and employees with disabilities and chronic illnesses on various issues and promote their inclusion at the university.
These may include, for example, questions about the organization of studies and formal aspects of the program (e.g., accommodations for exams, adjustments to courses, deadline extensions) or questions regarding accessibility and workplace safety.

The Psychotherapeutic Counseling Center of the Karlsruhe Student Services (PBS) provides counseling for all study-related and personal problems. The counseling service is free of charge, is subject to legal confidentiality requirements, and is available to all students at universities in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim, as well as their friends, family members, and faculty.
