"Open Drafts" is a research colloquium focusing on open-ended questions. We invite researchers and practicioners across the HfG to present their ongoing research projects. What are you curious about right now? What are some the ideas that you are toying with? What presentation formats are you trying out? What dead-ends are you looking for a way out of? We convene monthly at the HfG to offer a space to exchange, workshop and bounce ideas across disciplines and career stages. We start with Dr. Pierre Depaz on October 16, 2025. He is a PostDoc Art Research and Media Philosophy, a researcher and programmer with backgrounds in political science, game design and comparative literature. Both his research and his practice gravitate around software: how it represents the world and how it redistributes agency to its environment, with a specific focus on source code, programming languages and protocols as mediating forces in human discursive interactions.
