The representatives for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses support and advise

  • students and prospective students as well as
  • the university board, professors, examiners, examining boards, and administration on all queries regarding specific disabilities.

This could be for instance queries on course organization and on formal aspects of studies (e.g. compensation measures for examinations, accommodation in courses, deadline extensions) or questions on accessibility and safety.

This responsibility is specified under §19 of the basic regulations at HfG. A representative and a delegate from the senate will be appointed for the duration of the term accordingly. He or she is to be informed on all planned measures concerning the interests of students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

The consultation is voluntary, confidential and autonomous, and it is available for the duration of the whole course of studies.
