The library of the HfG Karlsruhe and the ZKM has an extensive collection of standard works and current publications. The library currently contains around 90,000 books and media from the fields of art studies, philosophy, design, architecture and media art, among others. In addition to the main areas of art, photography, graphic design and application software, the library has special collections in the fields of advertising design, editorial design, photography and multimedia design. Trade journals and newspapers can be found on the magazine shelves.
The library has more than 20 reading places, computers for catalog research and a photocopier, scanner and printer.
Additional workstations are also available for group work in the media lounge. There is also an area for events for up to 30 people (technical equipment: projector/projection screen, microphone/speakers), mobile containers and a TV monitor for use on site.
The current book stock can be researched via the OPAC.
Borrowing by HfG and ZKM members is only possible after prior registration.
