KAMUNA After-Show Party @ HfG Karlsruhe | 11:30 PM–3:00 AM
Culture matters—even after midnight. Following KAMUNA, the HfG Karlsruhe invites you to the official after-show party in Lichthof 3 of the Hallenbau to wrap up the evening together. The HfG transforms into a space where art, design, and nightlife converge: design furniture and art objects created by our students become part of a party setting designed for discovery, experimentation, and relaxation. At the bar, the team from The Door Bar will be serving drinks, and we’re especially excited to welcome three amazing FLINTA DJs—Tante Emma, DJ Trinity, and AC63—to the decks. From driving techno to groovy beats, they’ll provide music that gets you moving—and there’s something for every mood on the dance floor. Because culture matters not only in the museum but also on the dance floor—an evening for everyone who wants to bring art and dancing together.
HfG @ ZKM Pavilion: “Even Mayflies Dream of Tomorrow” | 6 p.m.–midnight
An exhibition as part of KAMUNA—a collaboration between Julian Wolfgang Schreiner (Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts) and Francesco Perale (HfG Karlsruhe)
During the Karlsruhe Museum Night, Julian Schreiner and Francesco Perale will jointly transform the ZKM Pavilion on Brauerstraße into an immersive space. Working closely together, they are developing a scenography that places Schreiner’s large-format paintings in direct dialogue with the pavilion’s architecture: painting and spatial design take up the building’s expanse, height, and openness, merging into a walk-through installation. Schreiner’s works revolve around moments of everyday life, condensed into images of contemporary society—personal, ambiguous, and free of moralizing.
Through the jointly developed scenography, these visual worlds become physically tangible and create a space in which visitors can reexamine themselves and their relationship to the world. Beyond the duration of the exhibition, the pavilion also serves as a photographic setting: the on-site documentation of the works will be incorporated into an accompanying publication that Schreiner and Perale are developing together—thus transforming the temporary presentation into a lasting artistic and editorial project.
