The student cinema Kino im Blauen Salon invites you to this year's HFG Open Air Cinema on the lawn in front of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) from May 23 to June 1, 2025. Under the motto “Freedom in Change”, the festival will present a week of cinematic highlights in a summery atmosphere. The special thing about this open-air cinema is that all films are still presented in traditional 35mm film projection. Film classics, cult films but also forgotten gems from all over the world are shown on the screen, from national and international archives but also from the HfG collection, which houses some treasures of film history. This year the festival is already in its 6th round. The first three film evenings are organized in cooperation with the Science Office of the City of Karlsruhe and as part of the EFFEKTE Festival.
