How is knowledge produced at art academies? Who becomes visible, who becomes hypervisible, who remains invisible or excluded? What strategies do BIPOC+ FLINTA* individuals develop to navigate institutional structures, create room for agency, and transform these structures?

The collaborative research project "Critical Faculties: BIPoC+ FLINTA* at Art Academies," conducted by the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG Karlsruhe) and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin), examines these questions through empirical and artistic research methods, in cooperation with additional art academies. On November 10, first research findings and artistic works will be presented and brought into dialogue with one another.

Featuring a guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Carmen Mörsch, along with contributions from Prof. Havîn Al-Sîndy, Eunsoo Choi, Anujah Fernando, Xingying Li, Prof. Diana McCarty, Dr. Melina Morr de Pérez, Prof. Dr. Ulaş Aktaş and Ülkü Süngün.
