With DZiKADiVA (German for “the wild diva”), artist Karolina Sobel opens a fictional space: an imaginary lesbian bar that also functions as an artistic archive. The project explores the diversity of lesbian identities in Poland and centers questions of visibility, representation, and memory. DZiKADiVA is more than a fictional set- ting — it is a space of possibility for stories that have remained unseen.
Karolina Sobel is a visual artist focusing on artistic photography. Her work en- gages with marginalized identities and queer narratives. DZiKADiVA merges documentary research with fictional elements — an invitation to rethink and make lesbian histories publicly visible.
