The HfG Karlsruhe invites you to the ceremonial opening of the 2026/27 winter semester on Monday, October 12, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m. Guests, friends, and supporters of the university, as well as new students and staff, are welcome to attend.

The program will include speeches by HfG alumna Norina Quinte (ato vision) and Simon Meienreis, artistic director of the Theater Baden-Baden. In addition, new faces and names at the HfG Karlsruhe will be introduced, current projects will be presented, and graduates from the previous semester will be officially honored during the traditional diploma ceremony. The stage program will be complemented by musical and performance pieces.

Following the official stage program, the AStA invites all guests to a get-together at the AStA bar. Over drinks and conversation, there will be an opportunity to toast the new semester together and wind down the evening.
