With her exhibition Carte Blanche, HfG alumna Marleine Chedraoui continued the Retour de Paris series at the Institut français Stuttgart from 02.03 - 31.03. 2023.
In a room construction on the first floor of the Institut français Stuttgart, Marleine Chedraoui created a closed-off area, the walls of which were covered with event posters from various art institutions, of which only the backs were visible.
Sounds that were recorded during the construction were emitted from the structure throughout the exhibition. Towards the end of the exhibition, a new object was created from the original construction, in which a book was bound from the poster panels, which could be exhibited on the converted wooden frame.
To accompany the exhibition, Marleine Chedraoui read texts from the accompanying booklet by Mathilde Belouali-Dejean, Hendrik Bündge, Hannah Eckstein, Marie-Nour Hechaime and Frank-Thorsten Moll about their artistic work and the exhibition at the Institut français Stuttgart. https://www.marleine-chedraoui.de/carte-blanche
