Issue 3: Chaining

MIGRANT JOURNAL is a publishing project that explores the movement of people, goods and information around the world, emphasising the transformative impact on space. The journal explored various aspects of migration, including the circulation of objects, animals and ideas. The narrative shifted when the physical copy of the magazine itself became a subject of migration, highlighting the intricacies of its supply chain. The journey of a single issue from purchase to delivery revealed a complex network of processes and materials, including the global flow of resources such as oil, wood and chemicals. Examining these supply chains raised questions about ethical production in a world facing resource scarcity and environmental challenges.
