The Post-Colonia Festival of Architecture and Imaginaries in Transition examines the contested legacy of seaside summer camps built under Italian Fascism, known as colonie marine. The history of these coastal structures—and the ruins they have left behind—serves as a lens through which past and present political ecologies intersect. Curators Martina Angelotti and Emanuele Guidi frame their work as artistic directors of the Post-Colonia Festival as a platform for speculation, research, and practices of commoning.
